Welcome to the Swimmer's Log
A place for the stories that don't fit in a swim's notes field: crossings, cold snaps, and the swims we keep talking about.
By Janet
Every swim you log has a notes field, and most of the time that's plenty. Water was 61°F, chop picked up at the turn, saw a heron. Done.
But some swims need more room. The first crossing of the season. The one where the fog rolled in and three of you swam a very confident half-mile in entirely the wrong direction. The morning it was 48°F and somebody still called it a 10/10.
That's what this is for.
What goes here
Anything longer than a notes field: trip reports, crossing write-ups, gear opinions nobody asked for, cold-water advice from people who have earned the right to give it, and the occasional recipe for whatever goes in the thermos afterward.
Want to write one?
Posts don't have to be mine. If you've got a swim worth a few paragraphs, email it to hello@6mi.app and it'll go up under your name. Photos, trip reports, half-finished thoughts about neoprene: all welcome.
See you out there.
